Constructive
I was the lead designer for Teaching Matter's new visual identity and website design. Since 1994, Teaching Matters has had extensive success in New York City schools. But they wanted the new brand to be a national more inclusive symbol. After several rounds of collaboration, We landed on a logomark and design system that feels serious yet rooted in the classroom. The green underline is meant to emphasis and anchor the larger design system that incorporates bold colorful underlines. The overall design system feels modern with moments of soft human touches.
We extended the Teaching Matter's new visual design system across the new website and printed collateral. I collaborated closely with content specialist Tess Stewart to marry the brand messaging with the visual design to deliver a cohesive brand expression. The result was a unified new first impression that feels both professional and charismatic.
The site structure leads multiple audience groups to the right content quickly and effectively. The new site has generated more school leads and grown Teaching Matter's audience.
I will always try to respond within a reasonable time.
